Okanagon Potters' Association

Our Mission: To Promote, Protect and Educate the Potters of the Okanagan

Welcome to the Okanagan Potters’ Association

With a membership drawn from throughout the Okanagan Valley in southern British Columbia, Canada, our association forms an active part of the local arts community.

Our goal is to support new artists and to promote ceramic arts within the valley and beyond. To this end, we sponsor a number of shows and educational events.

James Hibbert

The Okanagan Potters regret to announce the sudden passing of our fellow potter and good friend James on October 26, 2025.

James was a long time member of OKPA, taught many workshops and hosted events in his home. He was kind, enthusiastic and willing to share his knowledge and amusing stories. He will be greatly missed.

There will be a small retrospective of James’ pottery at our Fall Sale, November 8 & 9 at Kelowna’s Mission Community Hall. These pieces will not be for sale, but a tribute to and celebration of James.

It is the family’s wishes that, in lieu of flowers, donation be made to Okanagan Potters Association Education Fund. E-transfer to: okpa2024@gmail.com or mail to OKPA, 1156 Cerise Drive, Kelowna BC V1Y 9J9

Thanks for coming to our sale In 2025

Join us again next year, November 14-15, 2026 at Mission Hall for our annual Fall Sale.

Our potters work in a wide variety of styles ranging from raku, stoneware, sculpture, tableware and more. There’s something for everyone.
